What is an antioxidant?
Antioxidant means “against oxidation.” Antioxidants work to protect lipids from peroxidation by radical elements. Antioxidants are effective because they give up their own electrons to free radicals. When a free radical gains the electron from an antioxidant, it no longer needs to attack a cell, and the chain reaction of oxidation is broken.
Where do free radicals come from?
Breathing, metabolizing food and producing ATP naturally generate free radicals. Free radicals also arise from eating high-fat and processed foods, food preservatives, radiation, exercise, stress, pollution, chlorine in water and tobacco smoke. Maximum ORAC helps the body fight oxidation by supporting antioxidant levels in the blood.
I already take an antioxidant supplement with vitamins A, C, and E; is there an advantage in taking supplements in Isotonix form?
Isotonix® products are formulated for rapid nutrient delivery to the small intestine, supporting optimal absorption. Taken on an empty stomach, Isotonix Maximum ORAC may help nutrients be efficiently absorbed and utilized, minimizing nutrient loss or neutralization during digestion.
What is the difference in taking an isotonic formula as compared to taking traditional tablets?
Isotonic solutions offer the fastest and most efficient delivery of all oral forms of supplementation. The nutrients in the solutions are quickly and effectively absorbed into the bloodstream, and do not linger in the stomach causing gastrointestinal discomfort. I have been using Max ORAC Formula together with OPC Beauty Blend ( one cap of each ) for years .... many years. It is just the way I do it .... or to say it in other words; this is how I problem solve certain things. Lets just say I was having some odd issues with my health ... a friend told me about Isotonix and I gave it a try. WOW .... fantastic .... I take this on an empty stomach and I drink a 'dose' over the space of about 25 minutes ... I do not lay down, but rather I stay seated in my favorite chair to allow the product to be absorbed into my system .... for me I would say that takes about 40 minutes. Sometimes I will do this two times a day if I feel like I need it. Seriously ... Isotonix has never failed me .. .. .. Love it !
