Wellmune® is a natural yeast beta glucan derived from a proprietary strain of yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Wellmune® works to support immune cells, which are part of the body’s natural defenses. When Wellmune® is ingested, immune cells in the gastrointestinal tract take it up and transport it to the immune organs throughout the body. While there, immune cells, called macrophages, digest the Wellmune® into smaller fragments and slowly release them over a number of days. After reading the studies on Wellmune- taking this seemed like a no-brainer. Bio-scientist here- Market America got it right. Between the isotonic formulation and the benefits of Wellmune I needed to try it. I have a strong reaction to Winter seasonal flowers and OPC-3 is great for all my other issues. Adding Immune to my daily OPC-3 and vitamin B is the only thing I've changed- and for the last 2+ years my Januarys and Februarys have been much more pleasant. I recently purchased your Immune product, which came highly recommended by a friend. After trying it for the first time, I was taken aback by the extremely sweet taste. Upon closer inspection of the Supplement Facts label, I discovered that each serving size of 3.1 grams contains a whopping 2 grams of added sugar!!!!
This realization led me to understand that I am essentially paying for 2/3 of the product for sugar rather than the actual beneficial ingredients. To say I feel disappointed would be an understatement. I believe this is not only misleading but also a rip-off.
I would appreciate some clarity on why such a high amount of sugar is necessary in the product and whether there are any plans to reduce it to a minimum in the future.
